Method
A deterministic research system. Fixed rules screen ~300 stocks and ETFs nightly: clean trend (price above or below its 20- and 50-day averages, in agreement), volume at twice its own 20-day norm, RSI in a healthy band for the direction, and no earnings within 30 days. Contracts of passing names must sit 21–60 days to expiry with absolute delta 0.30–0.60, real open interest and volume, and a bid-ask spread under 6% of mid — the filter that removes the most fake opportunities.
Hard principles
Every number is computed by code over stored data — no model ever produces a figure. There is no order path to any broker; the system cannot trade. Data gaps are recorded, never interpolated. Every pick is priced forward nightly and closed by fixed rules (stop-loss, thesis break, time stop), so the scoreboard is evidence rather than memory. Correlated picks are scored as one thesis, and results are compared against two baselines: the underlying's own move, and random contracts passing only the liquidity gates.
How results are measured, and what they leave out
Two numbers are reported for every pick, always together. Mid-to-mid uses the midpoint between bid and ask at both ends: it is the cleanest measure of whether the screen found contracts that appreciated. Ask-to-bid assumes you pay the offer going in and hit the bid coming out — the pessimistic bracket on a real fill, and the number worth trusting.
Neither number is a trading result. Callouts are produced after the close, so the earliest a position could actually be opened is the next morning at whatever price the market opens — an overnight gap this system does not model. Commissions are not modelled either, and no position size is assumed. These are measurements of a rule set, not a track record of trades.
